There isn’t much not to love about Stephanie. She is a chatty, fun, upbeat gal who left New Jersey a few years back to make a life for herself in New Hampshire (home of bikers, snow and the best state slogan in the U.S.). Luck was on her side when she met Michael at a book store and soon enough sparks began to fly and she knew she had found her Mr. Right. Michael is an awesome dad and can build just about anything with his hands. At least that’s what I’ve been told. See, Michael is possibly the quietest guy I’ve ever met. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s Canadian or because he’s lived in New Hampshire most of his life, but I was worried that my mile-per-hour Jersey babbling might drive him nuts. “Do we have to do engagement portraits?” he asked Stephanie as we walked to Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, NJ . “Don’t worry, he’ll do what I say,” Steph said with a smile.
For two hours, we made our way through the massive park, dodging joggers and dog walkers, and listening to Michael crack jokes. Turns out that once you get him warmed up to you, he becomes absolutely hysterical, and the longer you hang out together the more hilarious he gets. A half hour into the session and I couldn’t stop them from pawing at each other. My fear to ask Michael to do something too cuddly vanished as the two embraced below the massive trees still dripping from morning dew. Here are some of my favorite photos from the session. Hopefully, Michael won’t shoot me for posting the flamenco dancing shot. You guys rock.
I love the way he is looking at her in the last one. Super cute shot.
This looks like it was a lot of fun! Very cool shots mate.
Aww… Awesome shoot!
They look so happy together!
Lovely!!!
Beautiful session! Love the grainy, filmy feel of the black and white shots! That last shot is so sweet, the love in his eyes!
Great shots of the happy couple and it look like a great day for them to take pictures.
