Who needs a tilt/shift lens when you can shoot at 35mm at f/1.4 and just bend at the knees a tiny bit. But seriously, this shot was made in front of the City Island harbor in the Bronx. We were surrounded by cars and traffic lights and unless we shot into the harbor, there really weren’t a ton of options for pretty portraits. So I figured I could just drop a little lower and voila—the chaos around us seems to disappear. I love this shot of Emma and her bridal party. The tree around us seems painted in and the ladies are simply stunning with their roses and red shawls.
