Shadowbrook NJ Wedding Photos {Kristen & Alex}

There are couples that rock and then there are those that truly put complete faith in you to perfectly capture their wedding without ever questioning your madness or artistic style. Kristen and Alex are one of those dream couples. The two met at a party thrown by a mutual friend in South Carolina. Kristen comes off like a Southern Belle, but in truth, she is a Jersey girl who left the Garden State to go to school in SC and was smitten by its southern charm. Alex, a Pittsburgh transplant, fell instantly in love with Kristen and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Rather than make their families come down south for the wedding, they split the difference and had their wedding in New Jersey at the always amazing Shadowbrook. The days events started at the rustic Holly Court Estate located around the corner from the venue. After a heartwarming first look, we headed off to the venue for some family portraits. About that time the sky turned and evil grey and we started making contingency plans in case of rain. We cut the portraits a little short, and went right to the ceremony. As luck would have it, the skies opened up and torrential downpour ensued. Luckily, our lovely bride had yet to make her way down the aisle. A few minutes later, Kristen, clad in a stunning Jasmine Bridal gown, met her groom at the alter inside the Shadowbrook and the two were wed in an very intimate and beautiful ceremony.

The reception was a lot less damp, as the Savoy Stompers played their hearts out in front of hundreds of Kristen and Alex’s closest friends and family. The two did their best to bring some Southern Hospitality to this rough and tumble Jersey crowd, and I think they definitely succeeded. Congrats Kristen and Alex on the wonderful wedding and I wish you many years of fun and adventures.
