I can’t lie, I was a little apprehensive when Jenny and Josh asked me for Appalachian Trail engagement photos. To say I am not outdoorsy might be the biggest understatement ever. I’ve hiked once in my life and it was to earn a merit badge in Boy Scouts. I also failed and never got that merit badge. That said, when Allison and I arrived at the GPS coordinates Josh gave us near an entrance to the Appalachian Trail, even I was taken in a little by the brilliant environment. It’s easy to forget just how much nature exists just outside New York City. For the next two hours, the four of us walked a few miles across a fairly easy stretch of trail, stopping every few feet to grab a photo and take in the beauty around us.
